Capcom’s March Showcase Sets Spring 2026 Release Dates for Pragmata, Street Fighter 6’s Alex, and More

Capcom just gave fans a packed roadmap for spring 2026—and the biggest headline is a rare move in modern gaming: Pragmata is coming earlier than expected.

During its March 5 Capcom Spotlight livestream, the Japanese publisher (best known in the U.S. for Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter) locked in dates for multiple releases and updates, including a new Street Fighter 6 character, a fresh Monster Hunter Stories entry, and a nostalgia-heavy Mega Man collection—plus a new look at the next Onimusha.

Pragmata moves up—now launching April 17

Pragmata, Capcom’s long-gestating sci-fi adventure first revealed back in 2020, will launch on April 17, 2026—a week earlier than its previously announced April 24 date.

Capcom’s new trailer leaned into the game’s moody, futuristic tone and teased more of its central duo, Hugh and Diana, navigating a world built on mystery and high-tech danger. The game is slated for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, positioning it as one of Capcom’s biggest bets of spring 2026.

Alex joins Street Fighter 6 on March 17—with help from Kenny Omega

Street Fighter 6 is adding a familiar face: Alex, the brash grappler who headlined Street Fighter III: New Generation, arrives on March 17, 2026.

Capcom says it teamed up with pro wrestler Kenny Omega for motion capture, a crossover that’s likely to land with both fighting-game diehards and wrestling fans. Alongside Alex, Capcom is rolling out an “Alex Arrives!” Fighting Pass and new outfits for Elena and Dee Jay, including swimsuit-themed options.

Monster Hunter Stories 3 hits March 13—and there’s a demo now

Capcom is keeping the Monster Hunter machine humming with Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, set to release on March 13, 2026.

The series spins Capcom’s monster-slaying universe into a more story-driven, RPG-style format focused on bonding with creatures rather than just hunting them. Capcom also confirmed bonuses for players with save data from earlier Monster Hunter Stories games, including exclusive outfits.

A playable demo is available now, and Capcom says players will be able to carry their save data into the full game at launch—an increasingly popular tactic to hook players early and keep momentum rolling into release week.

Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection arrives March 27

Capcom is also digging into its back catalog with the Mega Man Star Force Legacy Collection, launching March 27, 2026.

The collection bundles multiple Star Force titles with visual upgrades and new modes, plus preorder digital bonuses aimed at longtime fans. Capcom also highlighted online features designed to make the package feel less like a museum piece and more like a modern re-release.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword targets 2026 with a new gameplay tease

Finally, Capcom offered another look at Onimusha: Way of the Sword, still broadly dated for 2026 with no specific release day yet.

The new trailer showed gameplay set in 17th-century Japan and put the spotlight on legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi. Capcom teased battles in famous locations including Kyoto’s Kiyomizu-dera temple, promising a mix of historical flavor and supernatural action—core ingredients for a franchise that’s been dormant for years.

With multiple releases stacked across March and April, Capcom is signaling it wants to own the early-2026 calendar—mixing new IP ambition (Pragmata) with proven brands that reliably move consoles and keep live-service communities engaged.
